1. Markelle Fultz
It’s undoubtedly been a roller coaster-type career for Markelle Fultz in just two years spent in the NBA. The “if” and “when” the Sixers move on from him is still up in the air.
It will honestly depend on the confidence that Philly currently has in its team, and the quality of offers that get thrown at them. As it was alluded to earlier in this piece, the trade offers are already on the table, and Fultz’s name has been involved.
If the organization chooses to pursue a trade for Dewayne Dedmon from the tanking Atlanta Hawks, it would likely have to part with Fultz.
Trading the No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft will be a tough pill to swallow for the Sixers, but if they want to become serious Finals contenders this year with the likes of the Toronto Raptors, Milwaukee Bucks and the Boston Celtics, then they must make a decision with the young players they truly see fitting in long-term.
The 20-year-old point guard has played in 19 games this season, averaging just 8.2 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game on ugly .419/.286/.568 shooting splits.
The organization will have its hands full leading up to Thursday.
