The Philadelphia 76ers are looking to enhance their roster for the second half of the season. Here are a few players most likely to be moved by the 2019 NBA Trade Deadline.

The Philadelphia 76ers are pushing closer to the NBA All-Star break, and there have been plenty of developments in the recent weeks — but the excitement has only just begun.

For the sake of review, and because it is looking appropriate to spill on everyone’s minds as the first half of the season comes to a close, Joel Embiid is the NBA’s best center, and he’s been the best to enter the league in recent memory.

The three-year veteran’s production has not been glossed over, and a second straight selection as an All-Star starter corroborates that. He has once again asserted his dominance in the NBA with another bodacious season — currently averaging 27.2 points, 13.3 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.9 blocks per game on .490/.310/.801 shooting splits.

Embiid is the cornerstone piece that puts opposing teams at an immediate disadvantage every time they play against Philly. The only stumbling block in that favorable situation is, the team has no clear backup to relieve him.

ESPN’s Tim Bontemps reported on Wednesday that Atlanta Hawks big man Dewayne Dedmon could be an option the Sixers could trade for to fill that void in the next week.

Dedmon would provide an excellent source of rim protection and athleticism on both ends, with his 7’0″ frame. Better yet, this would allow Embiid a few extra breathers on a nightly basis.

There is no telling what the organization has up its sleeve amidst these reports, but head coach Brett Brown and general manager Elton Brand will be looking to garner as much depth as possible. Bearing all that in mind, here are three Sixers that could be traded by the deadline.
