With the 2019 NBA Trade Deadline approaching, here’s a look at 15 prominent players that could really use a change of scenery.

Whenever the actual calendar flips to a new year, the NBA calendar fixates on whatever February date the league has designated as the highly anticipated NBA Trade Deadline. At that point, and often well beforehand, the trade rumors start heating up.

Already this year, that annual heat check has already reached a boiling point, with stars left and right being identified as possible trade candidates. Anthony Davis is the most prominent name to join the ranks, and there are a myriad of destinations that would make sense, but the 2019 NBA Trade Deadline is loaded with recognizable faces that could be on the move soon.

With so many teams in pursuit of a playoff spot, player movement might pale in comparison to the expectations all this hype has conjured up. With that being said, whether it’s a quiet deadline or an active one, there are more players than usual around the league who could really use a change of scenery.

Young players in need of more opportunity, superstars whose primes are slowly fading, franchise favorites who are wasting away on losing teams — you name it, this year’s trade block has got it. Bearing this in mind, and with Feb. 7 closing in, here’s a look at 15 players in need of a trade, and why they might have to wait until the offseason to find a new NBA home.

Honorable Mentions: Otto Porter Jr., Milos Teodosic, Chandler Parsons, Troy Daniels, Zach Randolph, Marquese Chriss, Thon Maker
