1. Collin Sexton

The Cleveland Cavaliers should be focusing the entirety of their rebuilding process around Collin Sexton. Drafted with the No. 8 pick in last year’s NBA Draft, Sexton is the most promising player on this roster at the moment.

Sexton is currently averaging 14.4 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game. His shooting splits have been inconsistent at 40.9 percent from the field and 40 percent from the 3-point line, but he has shown that he is capable of being a reliable shooter.

While Sexton is young, he has benefited from picking and choosing his shots. For the most part, he only attempts field goals that he is comfortable shooting. He has not tried to do more than he is capable of and his shooting splits reflect that.

Right now, Sexton ranks in the top-five for both points and assists among rookies, and he also shoots some of the best percentages from the field and 3-point line. Sexton is also tied with Luka Doncic for the most games of 10-plus points, with each having 43 apiece.

There is a ton that Sexton has to improve on. He needs to become a better playmaker and will have to learn how to become more effective on both offense and defense. However, he is only 20 years old and has shown the urgency to get better. Therefore, Sexton ranks No. 1 on this list.
