It appears that both Larry Nance Jr. and the Cleveland Cavaliers have already expressed mutual interest in being together for the long-term, as Nance recently signed a multi-year extension with the franchise. Nance is the son of former Cavalier All-Star, Larry Nance, and has earned respect as a fan favorite already.

While his father certainly helped him earn the fans’ support, Nance has been actively working to prove his worth. This season has been rough for everyone on the team, but Nance’s relentless attack on both ends of the floor has been a bright spot for the Cavs.

He is working hard to develop his game and this is proven by the improvements he’s made already. He is averaging 8.6 points on a career-best 32.5 percent shooting from the 3-point line. He is also averaging career-highs in rebounds (7.4), assists (3.0), steals (1.4) and blocks per game (0.7).

Nance is playing in just his fourth NBA season and has plenty of room to keep getting better. At this point, I think it’s safe to say he deserves a long-term spot on the roster.
