The Cleveland Cavaliers have not had much to be happy about this season, but they may have discovered five players that belong in the team’s long-term future.

We are nearly halfway through the 2018-19 NBA season and it looks as if the worst-case scenario has played out for this Cleveland Cavaliers team.

The year took a quick turn for the worst when Kevin Love was sidelined with a toe injury just four games into the season. Since then, countless players have dealt with nagging injuries and the rotation has consisted of G League players. In total, the Cavaliers have had 19 different starting lineups and 23 unique players on the roster.

While things haven’t been pretty, there are a few bright spots to notice. These would be the few players who have proven their worth or at least shown signs of being a valuable player somewhere down the line.

As the Cavaliers continue to repair their broken franchise, it is likely that these five players will remain core members of the team.
