2. Milwaukee Bucks

Garrett Temple, since coming over from the Sacramento Kings this summer in a trade, has been starting at shooting guard for the Grizzlies and providing solid defense and good shooting.

Temple is shooting 43 percent from the field and 35.6 percent from downtown, but is occasionally asked to do too much on a team that lacks viable offensive options outside of Conley and Gasol.

What Temple does excel at is catch-and-shoot 3-pointers, where’s he’s shooting 38.8 percent on the year while taking 3.5 of them a game. Overall, he’s taking 4.3 3s a night, meaning about 80 percent of his 3-pointers are of the catch-and-shoot variety.

His shooting would fit in well with the Milwaukee Bucks, who are second in the league in attempting 3-pointers and first in the league in catch-and-shoot 3-pointers, taking and making the most.

Temple is also an versatile defender, who has the size to guard wings but also the quickness and smarts to match up with guards, as he did against Kemba Walker when the Grizzlies took on the Charlotte Hornets.

Finding minutes for him may be tough, as he would probably take some minutes away from Tony Snell and Pat Connaughton. However, he’s a better defender than both and Snell has fallen out of the rotation as of late.

Jason Smith is an expiring contract, so the Grizzlies wouldn’t be committing more money for the future. While neither of those second round picks moves the needle too much, they do give the Grizzlies some assets or the chance to package those and get something else. Temple just isn’t going to fetch that much on the trade market, but he’s an additional piece for the Bucks, who are trying to win now.
