Since the Memphis Grizzlies have made Mike Conley and Marc Gasol available, other players could be on the move. Will we see more trades from the Grizz?

One of the league’s top stories this week is the availability of Memphis Grizzlies franchise players Mike Conley and Marc Gasol. Trading these two shows Memphis is eyeing a rebuild and more players could be on the move.

Besides Conley and Gasol, the Grizzlies do have some valuable assets on their team that could net them a young player here or a draft pick there.

Currently, the Grizzlies are either without the following picks, or are in danger of losing them:

  • 2019 first round pick to Boston Celtics (top-8 protected this year)
  • 2019 second round pick to Chicago bulls
  • 2020 second round pick to Chicago Bulls or Houston Rockets
  • 2021 second round pick to Sacramento Kings

Any other trades should look to recoup some of those lost assets. Draft picks are incredibly valuable and with the Grizzlies looking like they’re going to be near the bottom of the league for the future, some of those second-rounders could be in the low 30s.

After looking specifically at trades for Mike Conley and Marc Gasol, let’s have a look at some other potential trades for the team.
