The 2019 NBA Trade Deadline is rapidly approaching, but the questions loom as to what the Boston Celtics will ultimately do. If they decide to make a trade, here are the three players they may consider moving.

It’s that time of the season again where teams are starting to take a deep look at what moves they can make ahead of the Feb. 7 NBA Trade Deadline. Surprisingly, the Boston Celtics are not one of the teams that are constantly coming up in trade rumors.

In part, that has a lot to due with their contracts and the idea that what they trade will not encapsulate more value in return. Whether they make a deal is still to be seen, but right now there hasn’t been much to talk about.

The hot rumor that has come up in discussion is whether they will look to make a move for All-Star Anthony Davis. Spoiler alert: that is not plausible until the end of the season because of the Rose Rule, which is further explained by NBC Boston‘s Chris Forsberg.

The earliest they can potentially acquire Davis is during the upcoming offseason. Forsberg notes that the only potential way for the team to trade for Davis right now would be giving up Kyrie Irving, which is not going to happen.

One complication the Celtics may encounter when looking to make moves is their inability to absorb any sort of money. Boston is pressed up against the cap and taking any sort of money back may not work.

Time will tell what the team may do ahead of Feb. 7, but if they do look to trade anyone, here’s a look at three players that could be on the move.
