4. Jarrett Culver – SG/SF (Texas Tech)

Playing in his sophomore season for Texas Tech, Jarrett Culver has seen his draft stock skyrocket. This is a result of him improving in nearly every statistical category and becoming a big-time offensive player.

Culver is starting to fill up the stat sheet, averaging 18.8 points, 7.1 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.0 steals a game. He is very skilled offensively, shooting 36.8 percent from the 3-point line and 54.2 percent overall.

While he stands at only 6’5″, Culver plays much bigger than he is. He does not shy away from physical contact and is a great rebounder for his size. This has helped him the most on the defensive end, where his gritty attitude has led him to the fifth-best defensive rating in college basketball.

NBA comparison: Jimmy Butler

Jarrett Culver has shown flashes of Jimmy Butler in his time with Texas Tech. Butler is as competitive as they get and his scrappy play style helped make him a premier perimeter defender. As time went on, Butler improved as an offensive player and made the leap to become a 20-points per game scorer. I think Culver could go on to make these same leaps.
