8. Romeo Langford — SG (Indiana)

The crafty wing from Indiana, Romeo Langford, ranks eighth on our list. Langford has made noise as an elite offensive player. As a freshman, Langford has put up averages of 17.9 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game.

He’s shot an efficient 48.9 percent from the field despite being an inconsistent shooter from deep. So far, he has not proven to be a threat from beyond the 3-point line, but has had a few nights in which he was able to knock down multiple 3-pointers.

Where Langford really shines is his ability to slash into the lane. He currently shoots 59.9 percent from within 2-point range and manages to get himself to the free throw line seven times a game. These are two good qualities to have in any player.

NBA comparison: Jaylen Brown

Finding a solid comparison for Langford is kind of tough. He is a unique type of player in today’s NBA where wing players are generally supposed to be top-notch 3-point shooters. I think Langford’s game most matches that of Jaylen Brown.

Both players are athletic and can finish around the rim. They are also two players that can create their own shot off the dribble. However, where Brown is more strength and power, Langford is finesse and speed.
