9. Bol Bol — C (Oregon)

Bol Bol is by far the most intriguing prospect at the center position. This skyscraper stands at 7’3″ and has a standing reach of 9’8″. Bol takes after his father with his insane frame, but has a radically different skill-set.

Bol has shown flashes of talent that would almost be unfair in today’s NBA. In his nine games played for Oregon, Bol averaged 21.0 points, 9.6 rebounds and 2.7 blocks a game while also shooting 52 percent from the 3-point line on 2.8 attempts per game.

If Bol is able to develop a legitimate 3-point shot, he will be one-of-a-kind. A player of his size and versatility on offense has almost never been seen before. Unfortunately, “keep an eye on” is not a literal suggestion here, since he’s suffered a season-ending foot injury.

NBA comparison: Thon Maker

The easiest comparison to make for Bol is Thon Maker of the Milwaukee Bucks. Maker shares the same physical features of Bol and has also shown skill as a shooter. For his three-year career, Maker has connected on 85 total 3-pointers, shooting 33.2 percent from deep. Bol will likely have a similar ceiling to Maker, but hopefully, he will pan out to be a more successful player.
