1. Philadelphia 76ers

The Markelle Fultz situation in Philadelphia is truly one of the most unusual things to ever happen in the NBA. Fultz was the No. 1 overall pick just one season ago, but it seems as if a majority of basketball fans have deemed him as a bust.

It’s not fair to consider Fultz a failure yet. His shortcomings haven’t been because of a lack of talent, but rather an injury that has derailed his shooting motion completely. There is a clear problem with the nerves in his shoulder and his once smooth jumper has taken a drastic turn for the worst.

With Jimmy Butler now in Philly, it is tough to see Fultz ever cracking a secure spot in the rotation ever again. His chance of being a starter or even a star role player are quickly diminishing. Therefore, it’s likely that a trade is the best option for both parties.

It’s no secret that Fultz’s stock is surprisingly low for a former No. 1 overall pick. The Cleveland Cavaliers may be able to pull off a deal involving J.R Smith, Rodney Hood and a 2020 second round pick for Fultz and Mike Muscala.

This deal would be a safe move for both teams. The Sixers obtain two players that can flesh out their rotation and make them a more polished team. In exchange, Cleveland gets to take a chance on a young guard with the potential to create an amazing comeback story.
