1. Zach Randolph

Zach Randolph is now among the oldest players in the NBA. He spent the first few seasons of this career with the Portland Trail Blazers, New York Knicks and Los Angeles Clippers as a powerful post scorer and rebounder.

He peaked in the 2006-07 season when he averaged 23.6 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. He spent the his late 20s and early 30s on the “Grit-N-Grind” Grizzlies. Randolph, and his supporting cast of Mike Conley, Marc Gasol and Tony Allen played a slow brand of basketball that resulted in a perennial playoff team. He left the Grizzlies last season in 2017 free agency

Last year, Zach Randolph proved that his age is just a number.

At age 36, he averaged an impressive 14.5 points and 6.7 rebounds per game as the primary option for the lottery-bound Kings. In his second season, despite his previous success, Randolph has not played a minute, in order for rookie Marvin Bagley III and other young big men to get more playing time.

Even though he is now 37 years old, Randolph still can still contribute to a different team’s success. The Kings could package him with a second round pick in return for a player that might help them reach the playoffs. If some rumors prove to be true, they might try to acquire Jeremy Lin from the Hawks or Enes Kanter from the Knicks.

Since Randolph has not — and frankly, will not — play another minute for the Sacramento Kings, it would be best for the team to trade him for anything they can get.
