3. Kosta Koufos

Not to steal Leigh Ellis’ catchphrase, but Kosta Koufos has been very solid for the Kings. However he has taken a noticeable step down this season. In his first three years as a Sacramento King, Koufos averaged 6.7 point and 5.9 rebounds per game. He has displayed his value to the Kings by coming off the bench, setting screens and getting rebounds.

This season has been a different story for the Greek big man. In under 15 minutes, Koufos is only averaging 3.7 points and 4.8 rebounds per game, his lowest since his short stint on the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 2010-11 season.

His low minutes per game suggest the team is ready to move on from him, and they likely won’t sign him back in free agency this summer. If he isn’t in their future plans, the Kings would be wise to see what they could get for him now.

There likely isn’t a large pool of teams interested in a center who doesn’t shoot 3s and isn’t great at defending the rim. However, teams like the Memphis Grizzlies or the Portland Trail Blazers that are in need of a backup 5 might be willing to spare a young player or a second round pick for the 29-year-old center.
