Pros of trading for Jabari Parker

As there are cons to adding Jabari Parker to the Utah Jazz, there are also some pros to adding the 23-year-old to Salt Lake City.

The first pro is his ability to do a multitude of things while he is on the floor, mainly on the offensive side of the ball.

So far this season, Parker is having a nice bounce-back year while averaging 14.8 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 0.6 steals in 28.8 minutes per game. He is shooting 45.8 percent from the field and 30.3 percent from 3.

Parker, who is listed as a forward, has the ability to spread the floor for any team he is on. He can not only score and rebound the ball, but dish the ball out and shoot from 3 as well. All of that combined and showcased together would fit in nicely with multiple teams, especially Utah.

Like I mentioned in the previous slide, one of the biggest cons with Parker is his ability to stay healthy and on the floor. But this season he’s actually been relatively healthy, which is obviously a good sign for any team interested in having Parker on the floor for them.

Outside of a stretch from the middle of December to early January where Parker did not play for Chicago, he has appeared in 32 of 44 games so far in 2018-19. Keep in mind, he played a total of 31 games a season ago.

Parker contains a few pros that make him an appealing piece to add for the Jazz, if they decide to indeed make a trade for him. His ability to spread the floor and most recently stay on the floor are a few pros that jump out.
