5 reasons the Milwaukee Bucks are legitimate title contenders
3. What about defense?
For all of the impressive numbers that we’ve mentioned from an offensive standpoint, the Bucks are also getting the job done at the other end of the court as well. They are ranked eighth in points allowed per game at 107.6.
Not only that, but their defensive rating of 103.7 points per 100 possessions is the second-best mark in the association. Furthermore, they are limiting their opponents to just 43 percent shooting per contest. In case you were wondering, they lead the NBA in this category as well.
Barring any major injuries, this team will be the playoffs again. Bearing that in mind, points aren’t as easy to manufacture as they are during the regular season, and sometimes the winner is determined by which team is able to make key stops down the stretch.
The Bucks are the only team in the NBA to rank in the top four for both offensive and defensive rating, so if they can continue to play at this level going into the postseason, they will not be an easy out for the rest of the playoff field.
