6. Indiana Pacers

One team that is on the brink of being legitimate contenders is the Indiana Pacers. With a 27-14 record, the Pacers sit in third place in the Eastern Conference. Led by Victor Oladipo, the Pacers are very close to becoming a threat to any team in the NBA.

Oladipo has been having a very quiet season despite averaging 20.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game. He’s been great, but he could be even better if the Pacers were able to spread the floor for him. Currently, Indiana ranks dead-last in 3-pointers made this season, which is something that has obviously hurt their offense.

Kevin Love is a career 37.3 percent shooter from the 3-point line and made an average of 2.3 per game last year. Meanwhile, the leading shooter on the Pacers is Oladipo, who makes just 2.1 a game on 33.7 percent shooting. Love would undoubtedly help Indiana with spacing, which would then allow other players to attack the rim more easily.

Again, the Cavaliers gain a 2019 first round draft pick, as well as a few players. Thaddeus Young and Kyle O’Quinn likely wouldn’t help the Cavs all that much, but they can’t hurt either. The main focus here is acquiring Aaron Holiday and the draft pick, as they are the most valuable parts of this trade.
