Kevin Love has been a hot topic for trades since the day he signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Often the odd man out, Love’s star status makes him a valuable trading asset. Today, we are going to look over seven potential trade packages the Cavaliers could consider.
According to Amico Hoops‘ Sam Amico, the Charlotte Hornets and Dallas Mavericks have already expressed interest in the five-time All-Star. It’s likely that Love could be a huge help to a few different teams. The best option for Cleveland is to target teams that are borderline contenders, as he would benefit these teams the most.
Love has experience being the star sidekick with championship caliber teams. With the Cavaliers, he appeared in three NBA Finals and was a key member of multiple playoff victories. This type of expertise is something that many teams in the league would be happy to trade for.
Hopefully, the Cavaliers will manage to find a perfect match and receive some young talent in return. After a horrid season thus far, it’s clear the franchise needs to invest in a full rebuild. Trading Love might be their best way to kickstart a new era.
