Markieff Morris and Archie Goodwin

When: Feb. 10, 2016
Why: Markieff Morris is an angry person

The Phoenix Suns are a very bad basketball team right now. The Phoenix Suns were a very bad basketball team in the 2015-16 season. They went 23-59 that year. Will they beat that mark this year? One can only hope!

This fight is different than previous fights covered, as it was an actual physical confrontation in a game. It wasn’t one of those “hold-me-back” moments we see so often in NBA games, but these two really went at it.

After the game, Morris said that was part of being a leader. Um…sure. His public trade demand  just five months earlier was probably also part of his these leadership skills.

It’s likely the two got over it quickly, but it’s a bit of a stretch to say it’s part of being a leader. It was a “turning point” for the Suns, as their winning percentage increased from .264 to .310.

Lesson learned

Fight if you’re on a bad team so you can go from really bad to just pretty bad. Also, trade away one of the players that got in said fight as fast as you can.
