Dallas Mavericks: 5 times NBA superstars praised Luka Doncic

1. LeBron James

Last but not least, the greatest compliment of them all came from the greatest NBA superstar of them all: LeBron James.

After the four-time MVP was pressed by a reporter on whether he was out of line for publicly declaring that it would be “amazing” if the Lakers traded for Anthony Davis, James responded by rattling off the names of several NBA stars and rhetorically asking the reporter if she thought he wanted to play with them as well.

Among those James named were Kevin Durant, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kyrie Irving and oh — Luka Doncic, who turns 20 in February.

Now that we’re a couple weeks removed from LeBron’s comments, it’s a surprise Luka Doncic’s head hasn’t exploded from all the ego stroking he received by way of that single quote.

It doesn’t get much better than one of the greatest athletes in the history of mankind declaring you to be a peer among the rest of the league’s superstars when you’re only 19 years old.

But with the trajectory Luka Doncic is on, compliments like that will continue to rain upon him until he’s the future Hall-of-Famer lifting up the spirits of young stars with his praises.
