4. Stephen Curry
The Golden State Warriors were without Stephen Curry the first time they faced the Dallas Mavericks this season, but that didn’t stop the two-time MVP from taking notice of the 19-year-old rookie’s amazing start.
The Athletic’s Tim Cato asked the two-time MVP about Doncic:
steph curry on luka doncic: "he's found a way to impose his will most nights. it's going to be good to see him develop into a star."

There are only so many NBA players that have the ability to impose their will on a game, so Curry recognizing Doncic as one of the rare few with that ability is about the highest praise a player can get.
Steph Curry finally got his chance to play against Doncic and the Mavericks on Dec. 22. Doncic scored 19 points on 7-of-15 shooting along with five assists, but the Mavs ultimately fell short as Kevin Durant put the game on ice with a clutch 3-pointer, extending the Warriors’ lead to 120-116 with 14 seconds left in the game.
Doncic and the Mavs will be able to get their revenge this upcoming Sunday as they take on the Warriors at home.
