In Week 13 of NBA Power Rankings for the 2018-19 campaign, the Brooklyn Nets and San Antonio Spurs are trying to cement their place as playoff teams.

Throughout the course of an 82-game season, every team experiences the ebbs and flows of injuries, hot streaks, losing streaks and everything in between. Never is that more apparent than in Week 13 NBA Power Rankings for the 2018-19 campaign.

While some teams that seemed to be playoff hopefuls in the early going like the Memphis Grizzlies and Orlando Magic have completely fallen off, others that got off to underwhelming starts are finding their footing as we approach the midway point of the season.

Two teams that come to mind in this category are the Brooklyn Nets and San Antonio Spurs, both of which are doing their best to convince everyone they belong in the playoff picture.

The Nets have now won 12 of their last 16 contests despite missing Caris LeVert, who was hands down their best player in the first few weeks of the season. Gregg Popovich’s squad, meanwhile, is on a 13-3 tear and got some long-awaited revenge on Kawhi Leonard in his return to the AT&T Center.

With the NBA trade deadline on the horizon and the halfway point of the season already here, it’s time for a new batch of NBA Power Rankings to sort everything out.
