If the Orlando Magic want to swing for the fences in 2019, these are three deals they should look into, no matter how slim the chances are.

We have reached the point in the NBA season where trade chatter has really begun to heat up, but the Orlando Magic aren’t heavily involved in any of the talk around players on the move.

This shouldn’t be surprising, Orlando is not a premier destination unless there are star players already in place, and the Magic are on their own course to relevancy with the roster that is in place as it is.

Blowing the young core up in favor of a more recognizable player or two isn’t the answer for the Magic. However, it’s fun to think of ways the team could get involved for players that ordinarily would not be linked with their franchise.

After all, it isn’t just disgruntled or even overpaid players who move organizations throughout the season; younger players in ever-changing situations and individuals who have outgrown their current NBA homes suddenly become available as well.

Orlando would provide the perfect landing spot for these players for a number of reasons, and not just because of the clear imbalance that already exists on the Magic’s roster that needs to be rectified. The following are three (and a half) big deals the Magic could make to get some top-level talent on their roster.

In reality, they are highly unlikely to happen, but they’re still fun dream scenarios worth going over.
