4. Courtney Lee

The Toronto Raptors and Courtney Lee could be a match made in heaven if you think about it. Lee is a great 3-and D- type of player that has struggled to find playing time with the New York Knicks due to the emergence of Allonzo Trier.

Since the Knicks are in rebuild mode, they would be more than happy to be exempt from his contract. Lee is still a valuable piece to have on a roster and could provide some much-needed scoring off the bench, while Norman Powell and C.J. Miles head to the Big Apple.

A player like Mario Hezonja could also be thrown into the trade pot in order to balance out the salaries for both teams, though the Raptors would probably cut him from the team.

Even though there is talk about the Knicks signing a big-name free agent this summer, this is still only speculation and might not happen after all. Through this trade, they get the assets to make any necessary trades in the upcoming season without losing their financial flexibility, as they acquire just a few extra million dollars in salary.

Take a look at Lee’s stats this season and you won’t be impressed. 33 percent shooting? Really? Well, that is before you notice that he’s shot the ball from behind the arc just 15 times, making five of them. Lee has played just 10 games this season, playing limited minutes in most of them.

But you shouldn’t be fooled by a bad month of play. Prior to this season, Courtney Lee has played a total of 10 seasons in the NBA, shooting over 40 percent from 3 in a total of six seasons. He could be the ultimate shooting option for the Raptors.
