3. More moves are sure to follow

Let’s face it, this season has been a disaster. When the Chicago Bulls entered the season, few were planning on the “Zion Williamson Watch” being an active part of the Bulls season. Injuries and frankly, bad coaching from two head coaches, have doomed this team. With the Holiday trade, we can now expect even more moves to follow.

One move that has already happened is the waiving of point guard Cameron Payne. Acquired in the horrendous Taj Gibson trade with Oklahoma City, Payne never showed the promise that Gar Forman pledged when acquired. Payne found himself behind Kris Dunn and undrafted free agents Ryan Arcidiacono and Shaquille Harrison.

Jabari Parker should be the next Bull on the move. Banished to the bench, Parker has missed the last nine games, three with sickness and six due to coach’s decision. It was a mistake for the front office to lure the former Chicago high school legend to the franchise and one the team hopes to rectify soon in a trade.

The power forward signed a two-year, $40 million contract in the offseason, with a team option for 2019-20. In the unlikely event that Parker is still on the roster at season’s end, there is little chance the Bulls would pick up his option.

Another veteran who could be on the move soon is Robin Lopez. In his 11th season, the big man from Stanford could draw interest from a contending club. While the team may hope to move Lopez before the trade deadline, his $14 million salary may be tough to maneuver and may be more of a buyout candidate after the deadline.
