1. Ignite a second-half run similar to a season ago

A season ago, Utah was one of the most talked-about teams in the NBA after going on a really impressive run following the midway point in the year.

Last year, the Jazz were a team that put together two lengthy losing streaks and looked like strong sellers at the NBA trade deadline in the opening portion of the season.

At the trade deadline and shortly after, however, Utah completely turned things around and had the rest of the league buzzing as it made a 29-6 dash for the postseason, finishing with a regular season record of 48-34 to reach the playoffs for the second straight year.

It’s hard to imaging the Jazz putting together a stretch like they did in the second half a year ago, but anything can happen in the craziness that is the NBA. While Utah has a majority of last year’s roster still in tact, with the addition of some nice role players off the bench, it could certainly happen again.

With their upcoming stretch and the opportunity to take some very winnable games over the course of the next month-plus, the beginning of the 2019 year might be the time we see the Jazz start to put together a similar run to the one they had a year ago.
