Here’s what the Boston Celtics should be striving for in 2019 as they enter a new year in the middle of a slightly disappointing season.
After a fairly disappointing start to the 2018-19 season, the Boston Celtics have to be committed to righting the ship as we enter a new year. Despite opening the new season with a 10-10 record, the team has gone 11-5 since and is starting to look more like the contender everyone expected before the year began.
However, the Celtics are only fifth in the Eastern Conference standings and aren’t quite at the level everyone expected just yet. There’s still a lot of regular season left as the calendar flips to 2019, but Boston has a long way to go as well.
Bearing all that in mind, here are the steps the team should consider moving forward as the season inches closer to the playoffs.
