2. Dynamic duo

The Kings electrifying backcourt of De’Aaron Fox and Buddy Hield is here to stay. The duo has combined for almost an average of 40 points and nine rebounds per game through the first 35 games.

Still, the stats are not the best indication of the young guards’ performance. Rather, it’s the effort plays that really tell the story.

For Fox, his relentless effort has been shown through multiple chase down blocks and stifling individual defense, particularly in crunch time.

Hield has been impressive with his non-stop motor. Even on nights when his shots aren’t going down, Hield keeps the same energy and finds other ways to contribute. The third-year guard has made a habit of crashing the glass to grab crucial rebounds for his team.

Unlike the past couple of years, Hield has also learned to get open by constantly staying in motion.

With that kind of effort, Hield and Fox can definitely help the Kings stay in the playoff race and possibly go beyond.
