There are many reasons to believe that the Sacramento Kings will stay in the playoff race

The season is nearing the halfway point and the Sacramento Kings are still in playoff contention– a far cry from the last 12 years when they failed to reach the postseason.

Despite the Kings’ success so far, some fans are still apprehensive about the next few months.

Considering how the Kings have been stuck in futility for more than a decade, this doubt among the fanbase is understandable.

Especially with all the heartbreaks this franchise has suffered for so long, it’s natural for fans to keep expectations low and to expect the Kings to return to mediocrity.

Perhaps some fans are still looking at the preseason predictions and finding it difficult to comprehend how this young team is shattering expectations.

The reality, however, is that the dark days are now history. No more crying over Robert Horry’s shot. No more whining about Tim Donaghy.

It’s time to forget 2002 and believe in the 2018-19 Kings. Just looking at first three months of the seasons, it’s easy to find so many reasons to believe in this young team.

Here are just a few of the reasons that can help the doubters understand why the Kings are legit playoff contenders.
