1. The Knicks ain’t ready for primetime

Even though the two starting forwards of the Knicks, Kevin Knox and Noah Vonleh, managed to raise a few eyebrows, the rest of the team pretty much struggled throughout the entire game.

Yeah, you could say that this is just one game and there’s certainly no need to hit the panic button just yet. But games like this one are the best way to prove that you are capable of performing under the spotlight.

With their big star, Kristaps Porzingis, still dealing with a torn ACL injury, this is nothing more than a “test-season” for the Knicks. It’s a test to see which guys out of the group can step up and secure a spot for the 2019-20 season. Believe it or not, not many current Knicks will have the ability to secure rotation spots next year.

The roster is full of players in desperate need to shake off that “bust” title that’s been written all over them. Mario Hezonja, Trey Burke, Emmanuel Mudiay are only some of the names topping the list.

As a result, you’d expect them to be hungrier each time they step on the court, something far from what we saw on Christmas Day.
