3. Philadelphia 76ers

After acquiring All-Star Jimmy Butler over a month ago, the Philadelphia 76ers‘ bench has been looking a little thin.

The trade for Butler is obviously one you make 10 out of 10 times, but it doesn’t hide the fact that Philly gave up two starters as part of the deal and now must find a way to replenish its second unit to give the stars some help.

Philadelphia’s bench ranks 19th in scoring with just 17.4 points per game. With Jabari on the roster, he can come in for spurts at a time and fill up the scoring column in limited minutes as a way to help fix that problem.

With the East being incredibly top-heavy this season, the 76ers know the team as currently constructed isn’t good enough to get to the NBA Finals. Last season saw them add pieces midseason who wound up playing huge roles in their run to the second round of the playoffs in Marco Belinelli and Ersan Ilyasova.

Parker doesn’t exactly fit the mold of what Philly would hypothetically be looking for. His 3-point shooting has been inconsistent and the same could be said for his defensive effort. But without many options on the table, he may be the low-risk move the Sixers needs to help inch them closer to where they want to be.
