Cleveland Cavaliers: 3 ways Larry Nance Jr. is impacting the team
By Tony Pesta
The Cleveland Cavaliers might have found a long-term piece to their rebuilding process in Larry Nance Jr.
The hometown player, Larry Nance Jr., is finally playing above and beyond expectations. It took some time for him to find his place, but Nance has been a pleasant surprise for the Cleveland Cavaliers in the last few games.
Nance was drafted 27th overall in the 2015 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Lakers. With L.A., Nance averaged 6.3 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game. He was in and out of the starting lineup and after two and half seasons of lackluster play, he was traded to the Cavaliers.
Nance came to Cleveland looking to fill big shoes, as his father was a two-time All-Star for the Cavs and had his number retired by the franchise. Nance Jr. was granted permission to wear his dad’s old No. 22 and has been looking to follow in his father’s footsteps.
Recently, he’s stepped up and is performing at a high level, contributing more than ever before. Today, we will evaluate how he has impacted the game and is helping the team.
