2. A Spanish care package for Marc Gasol and Mike Conley

It’s safe to say Marc Gasol and Mike Conley are the backbones of the Grizzlies. They are the seasoned veterans who, even as they creep onto the wrong side of 30, are still big parts of the offense and the defense.

They are one of the best two-man lineups in the league, posting a +8.9 net rating per 100 possessions. When they are off the court, that number swings 180 degrees and the Grizzlies are -9.1 per 100 possessions.

They need to stay healthy for the entire season for Memphis to have any kind of chance in making the playoffs. Gasol has played in every game this year and Conley has just missed one, but we still have 50 games left.

To keep them on the court, what’s better than a care package from Gasol’s native España? We can throw in some ibuprofeno and Nolotil for the small bumps and bruises, a bottle of Voltadol to rub on sore muscles, and some caracoles a la llauna, a typical plate from Catalunia, the region where Gasol is from. This team’s playoff hopes hinge on these two stars playing the whole year.
