With the Christmas Day games slowly approaching, the New York Knicks should embrace the importance of these festive games.

Every year, the NBA releases a selection of games set to be played on Christmas Day. It usually includes current or historic rivalries between lifelong opponents, or perhaps even a big-market clash. A team like the New York Knicks cannot be excluded from this.

It is the perfect thing to do after a substantial Christmas dinner. You lay back on the couch and watch some of the best players in the world go head-to-head in what’s most likely going to be a great group of games.

This year, the New York Knicks are taking on the Milwaukee Bucks at Madison Square Garden.

These two teams have had quite the recent history. Giannis Antetokounmpo‘s game-winning shot during the 2016-17 season. Mario Hezonja stepping over Giannis after dunking on him. Carmelo Anthony‘s never-ending trash talking against the Greek Freak. The list goes on and on.

As this young and exciting Knicks team is getting ready to face off against one of the leading MVP candidates, the only thing New York fans should do is be grateful for their team — something matching the spirit of Christmas. Here are three things that would definitely help with that goal in the team’s Dec. 25 matchup.
