2. Scoring explosion

Since his return, Curry’s scoring has paced the Warriors. Entering Wednesday’s loss to Toronto, he was averaging 31.4 points per game on a blistering 51 percent shooting in December. Obviously, those numbers took a hit after Wednesday, but Steph’s post-injury scoring is still impressive.

In his time back, Curry has already hit the 30-point clip three times. This stretch includes his previously-mentioned 42-point effort against Cleveland, as well as the 38-point affair Monday against Minnesota.

Dan Favale of Bleacher Report touched on Curry’s scoring prowess in his recent article:

"“Curry’s numbers are too eerily similar to his last MVP crusade for this to be spun as an inflammatory topic unfitting of debate. Just look at how his per-36-minute splits stack up: 2015-16: 31.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, 7.0 assists, 2.3 steals, 32.6 usage rate, 66.9 true shooting percentage 2018-19: 32.3 points, 5.6 rebounds, 6.3 assists, 1.2 steals, 32.1 usage rate, 68.9 true shooting percentage”"

According to Favale’s article, Curry is actually scoring at a higher per 36 minute rate than his seemingly unrepeatable 2015-16 season. This is largely supported by his post-injury play.
