The Golden State Warriors have played better ball recently, lifted by Stephen Curry’s return. Let’s break down the details.
In a nightmarish stretch without superstar Stephen Curry, the Golden State Warriors were just a shell of themselves. The difference was truly shocking.
In Curry’s 11-game absence, the Warriors were just 5-6. This stretch featured a four-game losing streak, a 28-point loss in Oklahoma City and a highly-publicized spat between Kevin Durant and Draymond Green.
With Steph back, Dub Nation is on track again. In six games since his return, Golden State is 4-2, averaging nearly a 15-point margin in these wins. Before Wednesday’s clunker loss to the Toronto Raptors, the Warriors were averaging 116 points per game in December.
How good has Curry been? In the first full week back, he won Western Conference Player of the Week, averaging 30.7 points, 5.7 assists and 5.3 rebounds per game as Golden State went 3-0.
Clearly Steph has lifted the Dubs, despite Wednesday’s disappointing effort. Check out three notable tidbits since he returned on Dec. 1.
