The Orlando Magic are heading to Mexico for an important two games in their season. Here are three ways they can make it a successful trip.

At 12-15, the Orlando Magic are currently hanging on to the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. They have lost three straight and are wobbling at a crucial point in their season.

It is clear after nearly 30 games this team can play solid basketball together, and combined with first-year head coach Steve Clifford, is the most complete outfit they’ve had in their prolonged rebuild.

Nevertheless, the potential for the Magic to fall off never feels too far away, even after making such a promising start to their campaign that’s included center Nikola Vucevic garnering early All-Star buzz and Terrence Ross looking like a legitimate Sixth Man of the Year candidate.

Next up for the organization is an important two-game trip to Mexico to take on the Chicago Bulls and Utah Jazz in back-to-back games. If they can come away with two victories, they will be right back on track again.

Should their results go the other way, however, then sitting at 12-17 coming up to Christmas will knock some of the shine off of what has been a good year so far. It is also worth mentioning that the Magic are in theory playing both of these games at home, meaning they have given up two games in the Amway Center as well.

With the trip coming when it is, let us examine three goals that the Magic should have down there, which, if they can accomplish, will restore the good vibes around Orlando.
