The Milwaukee Bucks have agreed to send Matthew Dellavedova, John Henson and a pair of draft picks to the Cleveland Cavaliers for George Hill and Sam Dekker. The Bucks then sent Dekker to the Washington Wizards for Jason Smith and a future second round pick. Here are the NBA Trade Grades for all sides.

With the Milwaukee Bucks having such a successful start to the season and the Cleveland Cavaliers having such a poor one, it seems like they are strange bedfellows for a trade. Add in a Washington Wizards organization looking to blow up its roster and you have an even stranger afternoon. However, what the Bucks, Cavaliers and Wizards agreed to on Friday afternoon was beneficial for all clubs moving forward.

As reported by ESPN‘s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Bucks have agreed to send John Henson and Matthew Dellavedova to the Cavaliers, along with their 2021 first and second round draft picks. The first round picks are protected, according to ESPN‘s Zach Lowe. In return, the Bucks will receive George Hill and Sam Dekker. In a further move, the Bucks then sent Dekker to the Washington Wizards in exchange for Jason Smith and a second round pick, according to Woj.

On the surface, this trade looks like a huge win for the Cavaliers. They receive quality players and two draft picks, the Bucks get an experienced player who can help them with their championship aspirations, an expiring contract in Smith and a 2022 second round pick. The Wizards get a smaller expiring contract than the one they had.

As with every trade in the NBA, there is more than meets the eye. Here are the NBA Trade Grades for all three sides.
