After a solid start to the season, the Brooklyn Nets have fallen off a cliff. What’s contributing to this abysmal stretch, and how can they go forward?

It’s no secret that the Brooklyn Nets have been awful of late. After hovering around .500 for the first few weeks, they are now 2-10 in their last 12 games.

It’s easy to point to the Caris LeVert injury as the main culprit for this recent futility, but that doesn’t tell the whole story. Although losing your best player can have ripple effects, it shouldn’t cause tsunami-like ramifications like it has for the Nets.

There are considerable flaws, intentional or not, with how the team is being deployed. Fans can try to blame Kenny Atkinson all they want, but talent trumps scheme in today’s NBA. There’s not much he can do when the team blows 20-point leads.

Instead, let’s address what the team actually can work with, and why any non-LeVert players can’t seem to step up.
