Robert Covington

November: 8 GP, 35.3 MPG, 14.3 PPG, 5.8 RPG, 2.8 SPG

Robert Covington has been the answer to all of the Minnesota Timberwolves’ prayers, and that is hardly an exaggeration. He’s been a great teammate both on the court and off.

Whether he’s having fun with his new buddies:

or helping institute a culture of responsibility that doesn’t descend into passive-aggressiveness, he has been the ideal teammate. After the Nov. 17 win against the Portland Trail Blazers, Covington told Dane Moore:

"“You can’t sugar coat things … Tell guys if they f***in’ up that they f***in’ up.”"

When you add in his play on the court, you have a guy that the franchise should be thanking God is under contract through 2021. Defensively, he has lived up to the All-NBA billing, doing this:

On the offensive end, he has shot 40 percent from 3 on 7.5 attempts per game since joining the Wolves, and that includes the 0-for-10 clunker he had against the Bulls.

Long live the NBA’s premier 3-and-D wing player!
