The Utah Jazz have agreed to send Alec Burks and a pair of draft picks to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Kyle Korver. Here are NBA Trade Grades for both sides.

With several teams off to disappointing starts to the 2018-19 NBA season, it was only a matter of time before the first trade came through. What the Utah Jazz agreed to Wednesday afternoon wasn’t a “panic trade,” per se, but it certainly comes from a place of high discomfort.

As reported by ESPN‘s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Jazz have agreed to a deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers for sharpshooter Kyle Korver. In return, they’ll be sending Alec Burks and two future second round drafts picks to the Cavs.

Per Woj, the picks in question are the Jazz’s 2020 second round selection and a 2021 second-rounder from the Washington Wizards.

On the surface, this kind of exchange is certainly well short of blockbuster territory and it seems pretty straight-forward: Utah gets shooting for an offense that needs it, while the Cavs add an expiring contract and a pair of picks.

However, there’s a bit more to it then that, so in the interest of being thorough, here are NBA Trade Grades for both sides.
