In Week 7 of NBA Power Rankings for the 2018-19 campaign, the Los Angeles Clippers and Memphis Grizzlies are turning a few heads out West.

After six weeks of action, our latest NBA Power Rankings for the 2018-19 campaign see a few teams rise dramatically up the ladder and a few underachievers take a noticeable plunge.

With so much parity in the league so far, and just over a month-long sample size to work with, these kinds of erratic moves up and down the power rankings are to be expected, but there are quite a few disappointments and possible overachievers to take note of.

For starters, the Boston Celtics and Utah Jazz certainly qualify as underwhelming, and though the Washington Wizards have recently turned things around on the court, they’re on the cusp of a complete fire sale.

On the other end of the spectrum, the Los Angeles Clippers and Memphis Grizzlies sit proudly among the leaders of the Western Conference, surprising most of the NBA experts who predicted they’d both be sitting on their couches in April. The Dallas Mavericks and Minnesota Timberwolves have similarly re-entered the fray after dismal starts.

Only one team in the West feels like a guarantee to miss the postseason (sorry Phoenix Suns fans), while even the worst teams in the East are just one hot streak away from joining the conversation.

Bearing all this in mind, here are the latest NBA Power Rankings.
