The Cleveland Cavaliers are an NBA-worst 3-16 this season. Things can only go up as we look at the three biggest disappointments so far.
The Cleveland Cavaliers are in the middle of the best week of their worst season in a long time. The team nearly spoiled LeBron James second homecoming before quietly stunning the NBA world be handing the Philadelphia 76ers their first home loss of the year via a 121-112 victory.
So with the parade being a little less rainy, maybe now is the right time to direct a critical eye on the team. We need to remain realistic — it’s important to remember what this team is after a nice win like the one in Philadelphia.
Don’t get me wrong. There are some serious positives: Collin Sexton is looking like a Rookie of the Year candidate, Tristan Thompson is in beast mode on the offensive glass and some young players seem to be adapting to Larry Drew‘s system.
Cool. Very cool. This year has still been a disaster. Well, that is if you may have been a bit overly optimistic (casually trying not to make eye contact with anyone) and thought this bunch had a shot at making the playoffs.
Friday night was a lot of fun for Cleveland. It was a Jordan Clarkson blowing kisses at Kendall Jenner kind of night.
