New York Knicks: 3 reasons to be thankful
3. Tim Hardaway Jr. playing out of his mind
With the Knicks losing Kristaps Porzingis to a torn ACL injury, someone had to step up. That person ultimately ended up being Tim Hardaway Jr., who is currently performing at an elite level.
Being a treat for the fans, Hardaway is not just the best player on the roster. He’s got a legitimate chance at becoming a first-time All-Star.
New York could have an All-Star in town this year. Though Porzingis got the votes for it last year, his injury, unfortunately, kept him out of the main event.
At the moment, Hardaway is averaging 24.2 points in 32.9 minutes per game while shooting a career-high 37.9 percent from 3-point range. He is the team’s go-to player in crunch time and an undeniable candidate for the Most Improved Player award.
The presence of a great scorer like Hardaway gets the offense going. He is the main reason to watch the Knicks this season and what was missing last year after the Unicorn was sidelined.
