If Durant leaves, it won’t be Draymond Green’s fault

The only thing modern-day NBA junkies love more than beef is the rumor mill. In this era of high-profile superstars, one fabulous player can truly change a squad’s course. Just ask the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Durant’s new destination in 2019 has been discussed at length, even before 2018’s free agents were settled. Will he stay in the Bay Area? Or perhaps he’ll try his hand in a new city.

Obviously, Daymond Green hates the idea of KD leaving. But he was surprisingly supportive, per Yahoo! Sports:

"“You know, at the end of the day, as I’ve said before, whatever Kevin decides to do, whatever Klay [Thompson] decides to do, whatever [whomever] decides to do, we had great years together and I support everybody wholeheartedly, 100 percent. Because as a man, as a human being, you got the right to do what you want with your life. So, I will never question that.”"

Meanwhile, there’s a lot of basketball to play between now and this summer. Green’s plan?

"“We’re still the best team in the league and we’re going to win a bunch of games and go win another championship and we’ll be fine.”"
