1. Collin Sexton

Rookie Collin Sexton was thrown into the fire early on in this season. He showed his inexperience in the first 10 games of the season and was a mess at certain times on the court. He often found himself in foul trouble and had a tough time scoring the ball consistently.

Through 10 games, Sexton was averaging 10.5 points per game on 40.7 percent shooting from the field and connecting on just 30 percent of his 3-point attempts. His poor play began to frustrate the Cavalier fanbase and even his own teammates began to question his knowledge of the game.

Since an injury to George Hill forced Sexton into the starting lineup, the Young Bull has been on a mission to prove his worth. In his first four games as a starter, Collin put up an average of 18.8 points and 3.5 rebounds. More importantly, he’s shot 70 percent from the 3-point line in these games and 48.4 percent as a whole from the field.

Sexton has showcased his speed in transition and is slowly becoming a more efficient playmaker. His defense has also been incredible, holding star point guards such as John Wall and Kemba Walker to poor shooting nights in back-to-back games. Sexton held both Wall and Walker to a combined total of just 15 points.

This surge from Sexton is something that should be extremely exciting for Cavs fans. The 19-year-old point guard is starting to hit his stride. Hopefully, he keeps this up and helps bring the team a few more wins.
