2. Tristan Thompson

The big man, Tristan Thompson, has taken a lot of flack for his preseason comments in which he stated that the Cleveland Cavaliers were still the team to beat in the Eastern Conference. While the team hasn’t lived up to his expectations, Thompson is doing everything he can to help.

For the last five games, Thompson is averaging 14.2 points, 14.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists a night while shooting 62.7 percent from the field. He has been a monster on the offensive glass, grabbing an average of 5.6 offensive rebounds a game.

His most impressive game of this stretch was in the Cavaliers’ victory over the Charlotte Hornets in which TT pulled home 13 offensive boards and 21 rebounds overall. His presence in the paint was huge in this game as Thompson completely controlled the glass.

Currently, Thompson ranks 12th in the league for rebounds per game and third in total offensive rebounds. His ability to haul in missed shots has been a valuable asset to this team.
