The New York Knicks have started off the season with a 4-11 record. It’s a bad start on the surface, but there are a number of positive stats behind it.

Before the start of the 2018-19 season, we pretty much knew that the New York Knicks would be bad. In a relatively weak Eastern Conference, the Knicks currently find themselves having the third-worst record, tied with the Chicago Bulls.

With their big superstar in Kristaps Porzingis still out with a torn ACL injury he sustained in February, nobody actually knows when the Latvian big man will be back in action for the team.

To be frank, the Knicks might just be trying their best in order to tank the entire season, thus obtaining a top pick in the upcoming 2019 NBA Draft.

The truth is, having a bad record does not necessarily mean everything is going wrong. In New York’s case, there appear to be a number of statistics that should make fans proud of the way the team is performing without their star.

So approximately one month into the season, here are three positive stats for the New York Knicks.
