3. Someone already on the Sixers’ bench

Mike Muscala and Jonah Bolden are the only two players on the Sixers’ roster listed at power forward now that Dario Saric is gone.

Muscala, who was acquired in the offseason from the Atlanta Hawks, is on IR with a broken nose.  Muscala could be the starting power forward when he returns, even though he has been a bench player his entire career, starting only 18 games in six seasons.

The front office is high on Bolden and he is getting an audition for a bigger role with the team.

After playing a total of five minutes in five games, suddenly Bolden its getting playing time. The 6’10” second round draft pick from Australia has been splitting time between the Sixers’ bench and the Delaware Blue Coats of the G League.

The night before the Butler trade was reported, Bolden was called up and played 11 quality minutes, scoring five points and grabbing four rebounds in an overtime win against the Charlotte Hornets. The next game against the Memphis Grizzlies, Bolden played 15 minutes. He didn’t score, but grabbed three rebounds.

Of course, there is another option on the 76ers, but it would take some convincing.
